Biography

Jim worked in the Boston area for over two decades in a variety of advocacy and service organizations including the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts and the AIDS Housing Corporation. He also served as the statewide HIV/AIDS Network Coordinator at the American Red Cross of New York. Prior to joining CIRA, he held the position of Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Victory Programs, a large behavioral health and housing agency in Boston with a continuum of innovative programs serving over 2,600 clients annually. Jim brings a wealth of experience in HIV/AIDS work with particular focus on disenfranchised communities, homelessness, addictions, and health/wealth disparities, and a working knowledge of community engagement, policy and advocacy processes, program development, strategic planning and administration.

As Assistant Director for their Community Research and Implementation Core, he supports community/research engagement and the New England HIV Implementation Science Network. The Network is focused on developing new research to address issues related to implementation science in small urban areas with high prevalence of HIV.
