Yale School of Public Health - Policies and Practices Encouraging Diversity

Statement of Principle (adopted in 1998 by the Yale School of Public Health faculty)

Recognizing the importance of minority health to public health and the critical need to achieve cultural diversity, especially of underrepresented minorities, in the profession, the Yale School of Public Health will work toward the implementation of policies and practices to accelerate progress in achieving diversity within the public health profession. It will recommend collaborative action on this principle and join with other member schools of the Association of Schools of Public Health to develop ideas, marshal resources, and undertake initiatives to enhance the profession’s commitment to this principle and its implementation.
