David L. Katz, is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine/Public Health. Katz co-founded the Yale Prevention Research Center (PRC) in 1998, and also founded and directs the Integrative Medicine Center (IMC; Derby, CT), a facility that blends allopathic and naturopathic care. Jointly, the IMC and PRC support trials in the area of complementary and alternative medicine.

Elected to the governing board of the American College of Preventive Medicine in 2002, and elected President of the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine in 2004, Katz is a nationally recognized authority on the prevention of chronic disease, nutrition, and weight management.

Katz has authored nearly 100 scientific papers and chapters and 10 books to date. He is a syndicated health columnist for the New York Times; nutrition columnist to “O”, The Oprah Magazine; and a medical contributor for ABC News. For further information, see www.davidkatzmd.com
