Marna P. Borgstrom, Alumna of Yale School of Public Health, Appointed President and CEO of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale New Haven Health System

Following a comprehensive national search, Marna P. Borgstrom has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) and the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), effective October 1, 2005. Ms. Borgstrom has been a member of the senior management team at YNHH and YNHHS for the last 25 years, and has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the last 12 years. Borgstrom will succeed Joseph A. Zaccagnino, who is retiring following a 35 year career at YNHH and YNHHS, and spent the last 14 years as President and Chief Executive Officer. Borgstrom and Zaccagnino are 1979 and 1970 graduates, respectively, of the Yale School of Public Health.
