University Matching Contribution Program for Hurricane Relief Exceeds Expectations

1,351 students, faculty and staff members have donated $186,915 through the Yale University Matching Contribution Program. Various organizations on campus conducted fundraising activities, which raised an additional $62,000. The EPH Multicultural Student organization participated in fundraising efforts by organizing a monetary and clothing drive in conjunction with America’s Second Harvest. The Yale Katrina relief effort, which matched individual donations up to $1,000 plus money contributed through group fundraising efforts, will deliver a total of $497,830.
