Grantham-Millman Awarded 2007 Alumni Bulldog Award by Yale Alumni in Public Health Carolyn Grantham-Millman, M.P.H.’84 was awarded this year’s Alumni Bulldog Award at the Yale School of Public Health’s 2007 Alumni Day. The award represents steadfast loyalty, tenacity and spirited disposition. Alumni who receive the Bulldog Award must give outstanding contributions to the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) through leadership on special project(s) of significant duration, sustained service in leadership role at the school, sustained service to school through membership on school and/or university committees and programs, and sustained service to school through programs or committee memberships that further the mission of the school in the community. Grantham-Millman recently retired from Yale after almost 20 years of service to YSPH. She was a key member of the alumni relations team and was responsible for the outstanding quality of the alumni events sponsored by the school over the last 15 years. She developed and planned an average of eight alumni events each year, many of which have combined networking opportunities for alumni with professional development programs covering some of the timely and most critical topics in public health. Grantham-Millman is a frequent speaker at the Council on Development and Alumni Affairs. She is a lecturer in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences at YSPH and an adjunct professor in Environmental Health at Southern Connecticut State University. —Story by Marcie Foley |
