Kaakpema Yelpaala Honored with 2007 Eric W. Mood New Professionals Award by Yale Alumni in Public Health Kaakpema Yelpaala M.P.H.’06, was honored with the 2007 Eric W. Mood New Professionals Award at the Yale School of Public Health’s 2007 Alumni Day. The award is bestowed upon an alumnus who has graduated within the past 10 years and demonstrates outstanding potential in the field of public health in the areas of leadership, creativity in the practice of public health, and service to the field and/or to the Yale School of Public Health. Yelpaala currently works with senior management for Human Resources Strategy and Recruiting for the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative, developing strategies to recruit exceptional candidates at all levels of the Foundation. He also serves as an executive recruiter for specific senior positions. He is based in New York City and his work spans across the United States and Europe. Yelpaala specializes in broad range of issues in development and health, including HIV/AIDS, Information Communications Technology (ICT), and public-private partnerships in various capacities in East and West Africa and the Caribbean. —Story by Marcie Foley |
