Global Health Division Co-sponsors Symposium Series on the Ethical Aspects of Avian Influenza Pandemic Preparedness Public health experts worldwide are anticipating an avian influenza pandemic. To help prepare for this threat, a symposium series entitled "Ethical Aspects of Avian Influenza Pandemic Preparedness" is being co-sponsored by Yale's Interdisciplinary Bioethics Project, The Donaghue Initiative in Biomedical and Behavioral Research Ethics, and the Global Health Division of the Yale School of Public Health (YSPH). Part I of the symposium, to be held on Tuesday, May 17 in Horchow Hall, will focus on the science and ethics of vaccine development and distribution.
