Mayne Selected to Serve as Member of National Cancer Institute's Board of Scientific Counselors

Susan T. Mayne, Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health and head of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program of the Yale Cancer Center, has been selected to serve as a member of the Board of Scientific Counselors (BSC) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The BSC evaluates the quality and performance of the NCI's scientists and research programs and provides advice to the Scientific Director. Members of the BSC are also solicited for suggestions about NCI's resource allocation, program administration and new projects. Mayne's term began on July 1, 2004 and ends on June 30, 2009.
