Part II of the Symposium Series on the Ethical Aspects of Avian Influenza Pandemic Preparedness Co-sponsored by Global Health Division Public health experts worldwide are anticipating an avian influenza pandemic. To help prepare for this threat, a symposium series entitled, "Ethical Aspects of Avian Influenza Pandemic Preparedness" is being co-sponsored by Yale's Interdisciplinary Bioethics Project, The Donaghue Initiative in Biomedical and Behavioral Research Ethics, and the Global Health Division of the Yale School of Public Health. Part II of the symposium, to be held on Thursday, October 20, at the Omni Hotel in New Haven, Connecticut, will focus on strategies for containment, health system mobilization, communication and wildlife control.
