Pinheiro Presents at Biostatistics Seminar

Dr. José Pinheiro, Associate Director of Biostatistics at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, presented a lecture entitled “Multiple Comparisons and Modeling in Dose Finding: a Unified Approach” at a December 2 seminar hosted by the Division of Biostatistics. Dr. Pinheiro’s research focuses on linear and non-linear mixed effects models, particularly on computational aspects of the mixed model. Dr. Pinheiro is a co-developer of the NLME for non-linear mixed model in S+ and an author, with Douglas M. Bates, of the widely used book Mixed-Effect Models in S and S-PLUS.
