Levy Elected to Serve as Member of Gerontological Society of America’s Behavioral and Social Sciences Section Executive Committee

Becca Levy, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Yale School of Public Health's Division of Chronic Disease Epidemiology and Social and Behavioral Sciences Program, has been elected to the Executive Committee of Gerontological Society of America’s (GSA) Behavioral and Social Sciences Section.  Levy, a Fellow of GSA, will serve on the Committee for two years.

The Executive Committee functions as the administrative body of the Section, exercising general supervision over the affairs of the Section, including the work of the executive officers, formulates policy to be recommended to the Section membership, reviews and has the power to approve or disapprove the appointment of committees, and moves to facilitate the activities of committees by review and recommendations.

The GSA is the nation's oldest and largest multidisciplinary scientific organization devoted to research, practice and education in aging.
