Reception for Former Dean of Public Health, Michael H. Merson -
January 25, 2005
|
| |
You've
been a strong, consistent voice in public health, both here at Yale and outside of Yale. We appreciate very greatly all
you've given us over the last ten years and we expect
that after your sabbatical that you'll return to us
energized as a senior faculty member and ready to impart
the wisdom that you've gained over the years.
Brian Leaderer, Interim Dean of Public
Health, Interim Chairman, Epidemiology and Public Health,
Susan Dwight Bliss Professor of Public Health

In
addition to the physical changes and the changes in the
research base and the tremendous increase in faculty, there
has been just a wonderful sense that we are all invested
in this place.
Nancy Ruddle, Interim Deputy Dean of Public Health, Interim
Vice Chair, Epidemiology and Public Health, Director of Graduate
Studies, John Rodman Paul Professor of Epidemiology and Public
Health

I
learned
how far one can go in eliciting help from
others, in moving projects along, in working on a problem
as seemingly intractable as HIV/AIDS with a certain self-confidence
and enthusiasm that's infectious.
Peter Salovey, Dean of Yale College

|
The most
important thing he has brought to this place is
his extraordinary
passion for the field of public health.
Anne Pistell, Associate Dean for Student
Affairs, Epidemiology and Public Health |
