Printing from your laptop

Printing from your laptop
For MPH or MS Students (or those without access to the PhD student office space): For PhD students (or those with access to the PhD student office space):
  1. Read the all of the instructions first
  2. Connect to Yale network using VPN. (instructions for using VPN)
  3. Download and save the handy "mph_printer" add-a-printer-script by right-clicking on the link and selecting "Save Target/link as" and make sure to sace it as a .vbs file. Internet Explorer will want to save it as an html file.
  4. Run the "mph_printer" script by double-clicking on the file. Wait for a pop-up message box that says that the printers have been added. This may take 20-60 seconds.
  5. When you are printing, make sure you select the correct printer that you want to print to. The printer with the name ending with "Lib_BW1" is the printer in the library. The printer with ""60_College" in the name is the one over near LEPH 115.
  6. After you send your print job from your laptop to the printer, you must go to the print station near the printer, log in, and release your job. Your print job will appear as "Guest" followed by the name of your file. Please do not delete print jobs other than your own. You are only charged for jobs you actually release from the print station

  5. When you are printing, make sure you select the correct printer that you want to print to. The printer with the name ending with "Lib_BW1" is the printer in the library. BW4 and Color2 are in the PhD room. The printer name with "60_College" in the name is the one over near LEPH 115.
  6. After you send your print job from your laptop to the printer, you must go to the print station in the library or PhD room, log in, and release your job.
