Areas of Interest: Ecological determinants of vector-borne disease emergence and perpetuation, and vector-reservoir interactions

Current Projects: Mike has a current rotation in the laboratory of Drs. Gisella Caccone/ Jeffery Powell (Dept. of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). Applying DNA barcoding methods (DNA sequencing technology) to identify cryptic taxa within the Anopheles funestus species complex
