Disaster Preparedness, Response and Recovery:
Linking Behavioral Health with Public Health Systems
On January 24th, 2008 we co-sponsored a workshop to strengthen the linkages between public health and behavioral health systems in Connecticut for disaster preparedness, response, resilience and recovery.
Participants learned how public health and behavioral health professionals can work together to coordinate local preparedness planning and improve the integration of delivery of services for disaster response, resilience and recovery on the community level.
The Yale CPHP co-sponsored the workshop with the CT Department of Public Health, the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the CT Department of Children and Families, and the Center for Trauma Response, Recovery and Preparedness.
