Post-Doctoral Program in Health Services Research

These positions are currently filled. The next application cycle will begin in January 2018.

Fellowship Description
Post-doctoral fellows work on their own research under the guidance of faculty and participate in departmental research seminars but have no required teaching responsibilities. Fellows are expected to devote their full effort to further developing their research skills and writing for publication.

Faculty Involvement
Forty faculty members from the Yale School of Public Health, Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Nursing, and Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences are involved in the program. Fellows are encouraged to become members of the many faculty-directed research projects to develop their skills.

Eligible Candidates
Individuals with previous research backgrounds acquired during PhD or MD education are eligible to apply for one- or two-year post-doctoral fellowships.

Financial Support
The Program provides financial support (stipend and research-related funds) for fellows through a grant provided by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.  U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, and permanent residents are eligible for funding under this training grant.
