  • Frank Grosso

    Associate Dean for Student and External Affairs

    Over twenty-five years of experience in higher education. For the past twenty years, has served in dean-level positions in student affairs at both Yale University and The Catholic University of America; providing experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, policy development and implementation, program development, curriculum development and review, accreditation preparation, budget preparation and allocation, student development and counseling, and higher educational law. Teaches courses in student personnel services in higher education (online), and educational leadership theory and development. Research focus is on the relationship between educational leadership and motivation.

  • Assistant Dean, Public Relations

    Kira is responsible for overseeing the YSPH Office of Public Relations.  Kira has come from Smithville Communications where she was Vice President of Marketing, Product and Customer Service and led the marketing and customer service departments to develop brand, acquisition and customer communication strategies.  Prior to Smithville, Kira was Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Public Relations at Frontier Communications in New Haven.  She obviously brings with her experience in marketing and communication strategies, but also experience with the New Haven community and local organizations.  She resides with her family in Trumbull, CT where she is an advocate for special needs children and fostering diversity within the community.   

     

  • Michael Greenwood

    Senior Communications Officer

    Michael Greenwood is a Senior Communications Officer at the Yale School of Public Health and editor of Yale Public Health magazine. He oversees an array of multimedia content that populates the school's various communications platforms and works closely with news outlets to generate stories about the School of Public Health that appear in state, national and international outlets. He and the communications team contribute to a variety of special projects that further promote the work of YSPH faculty, alumni and students. Prior to coming to Yale, Michael was a reporter at The Hartford Courant newspaper, where he wrote about the environment, politics, business and legal proceedings, and spent four years teaching history and civics to high school students in North Carolina. Michael has a bachelor's degree in journalism and history from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in history from UConn.

  • Denise Meyer

    Web Support Specialist; Web Coordinator

    A graduate of Northwestern University, Denise Meyer has worked in public relations and communications for over thirty years, first in the arts, then as a consultant for a wide range of small businesses, non-profits and an international manufacturing company. She is the founding publisher of Eirini Press whose offerings on non-duality include titles by Lawrence LeShan, Jonathan Bricklin and others.  

    Denise has a wide range of print, social media and web experience and has been web coordinator at the Yale School of Public Health since 2008, where she has created and developed editorial and video content for more than 50 websites for the school and its faculty. She also produces the school's internal organ, The Public Health Insider and writes a regular series of student profiles. 

  • Colin Poitras

    Communications Officer

    As a writer for the Yale School of Public Health's Office of Communications, Colin Poitras promotes the innovative and collaborative work of the school's outstanding faculty and students on a variety of platforms including Yale Public Health magazine, Yale News, the YSPH website, and other content areas. Prior to coming to Yale in 2018, Colin spent 10 years as a science writer and media relations specialist for the University of Connecticut, where he wrote about and promoted research advances in engineering, materials science, pharmaceutics, artificial intelligence, and chemistry. Colin has 20 years of news writing experience with the Hartford Courant and was a member of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage in 1998.

  • Kayla Steinberg

    Associate Communications Officer

    Kayla Steinberg is the Associate Communications Officer at the Yale School of Public Health. In this role, she shares the work and stories of the Yale School of Public Health and its community members through multimedia materials and social media. Prior to joining Yale in 2020, Kayla was the communications coordinator at a local public health department in Michigan, where she shared timely information on everything from infectious disease outbreaks to mental health and the opioid crisis. Kayla also has experience in multimedia storytelling, journalism, and non-profit communications.
