I am writing to share four important support updates with you:
Tridion Publishing
We will be doing a test of new infrastructure at 5pm today as we continue working to improve Tridion publishing speed and stability. For a period of 2-3 hours tonight you will be unable to publish items from edit.yale.edu. This outage will not affect your live websites.
New Help Desk
We are introducing an easier way for you to submit support requests to our team through our new Help Desk tool. Please visit the YSM Web Help Desk, create an account and submit requests for Website, Tridion or News & People Profile System help. There is a large “Get Help” button on the home page of our website at web.yale.edu to provide you with quick access to the Help Desk.
In addition, any email sent to ysm.editor@yale.edu will automatically generate a ticket in our new system.
You can login to the Help Desk to check the status of your request and communicate with our team. You will also receive an email notification any time action is taken on your ticket. We think this new system will make it much easier to track requests and help provide you with support more quickly. I welcome any feedback you have.
Website Editing Client Improvements
We’ve created a new email for our Website Services clients as your primary point of contact:web.services@yale.edu. In addition, we’ve added a new team member to help! For more information, please take a look at http://web.yale.edu/about/news/article.aspx?id=11257.
Workday Syncs
We are moving to a bi-weekly sync schedule between Workday and the News & People Profile System. Syncs will occur on Tuesday and Thursday mornings until we are able to automate a daily sync process. We successfully completed a sync this morning.
