Raul Hernandez-Ramirez Accepted to Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Cancer (TIDIRC) Facilitated Course

February 10, 2020

CMIPs very own Raul Hernandez-Ramirez was recently selected from a range of highly-qualified applicants to participate in the NCI's hosted Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Cancer (TIDIRC) Facilitated Course. The purpose of this training is for new researchers, or researchers who are making the switch to D&I research, to receive “a thorough grounding in conducting dissemination and implementation research with a specific focus on cancer.” This course consists of 6 on-line modules with related assignments throughout the Spring and Summer, and ends with a 2-day in-person training in Rockville, MD in August. The training institute was adapted in 2018 from the broader Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (TIDIRH), organized by NIH and the VA over the past eight years. You can find more information on the TIDIRC page.

Raul is most excited to further his joint research proposal with colleagues at Yale and abroad on an intervention to increase colposcopy in Mexican women with abnormal cervical cancer screens.
