Yale Cancer Center: Cancer Prevention and Control


Dr. Nicole Deziel's research is designed to enhance understanding of the interface between exposure to environmental agents and human disease, including women's health and children's health outcomes. She is focused on evaluating, improving, and developing exposure estimates for application in environmental epidemiologic studies. Focus areas include pesticides, mixtures of persistent organic pollutants, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Dr. Deziel is also investigating the potential environmental and public health impacts of unconventional oil and gas development (e.g., hydraulic fracturing). Finally, Dr. Deziel is also examining the relationship between environmental exposures and aspects of social vulnerability.
