Marquita Taylor, Ph.D. is the Assistant Director, Health Equity Leadership Programs housed both at the Yale School of Public Health and Southern Connecticut State University College of Health and Human Services. Today she is a change agent, tomorrow she aspires to be a better one. Recently she completed a competitive fellowship at Brown University focused on Research and Community Engagement. Her professional background is in governmental finance and political science, and she has led the development of state and local policy. However, her passion for leading, education, and fostering change has led me to pursue a Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service, Community Leadership. Her research dissects the non-cognitive skills and is directly aligned with her interests in education and health, policy, transformational leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and race and equity. She holds a Certificate in Race and Equity from Penn and both encourages and approaches her work with an anti-racism lens.
