Implementation Science and Outcomes Research

Outcomes research seeks to understand the specific contribution of particular health care practices and interventions. It involves study design, critical review, implement/measurement and analyze health outcomes studies. The scope of outcomes research ranges from studies evaluating the effectiveness of a particular intervention, the development and use of tools to perform patient-based assessments, to the impact of economic policies of the outcomes of care.

Outcomes and implementation science research addresses a number of chronic conditions, including heart disease, stroke, cancer; infectious disease treatment for respiratory, retroviral, enterial infections, helminth infections, vector-borne diseases and more.
