* Students have the option of taking HPM 510 (fall term) or HPM 560 (spring term) and several EHS courses to meet the MPH core requirement. 

** Students must complete ONE of the following SBS/CDE courses - SBS 531 (fall), CDE 572 (fall), SBS 573 (fall), SBS 581 (fall), SBS 585 (fall), SBS 594 (fall), CDE 545 (spring), SBS 568 (spring), SBS 596 (spring), or HPM 545 (spring).

Full-time student status is considered 4 course units or more per term. Students may petition for exemption from any course for which they can demonstrate competency. Only the instructor for the course can grant an exemption. Student should check with instructor for requirements, and if exempted, have instructor sign form (available on YSPH website), then submit the form to the YSPH registrar. Another course will need to be taken to complete the number of required course units for the MPH degree.
