Aging

The population of Americans ages 65 years of age and older is projected to double by 2060. Our faculty are investigating issues related to aging, focusing on the etiology and treatment of diseases, as well as conducting disease surveillance of conditions that are common at older ages. Our research includes studies using originally collected data, prospective datasets and registries, as well as large administrative data sets. We use rigorous methods, including qualitative and quantitative analyses, as well as multimodal approaches including genetics, pathology, epidemiology and neuroimaging.
