Professional Skills Series — from Classroom to Career
YSPH has a unique professional skills training course – the Professional Skills Series (PSS) – that aims to equip all MPH students in their first year with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for success in an increasingly complex and competitive work environment.
The PSS is mandatory for all first year MPH students and will be administered throughout the academic year by career office staff as well as outside coaching professionals. Of approximately 20 course offerings, you will be required to complete 8 (but you can take as many as you like).
Satisfactory completion will be indicated prominently on your official Yale transcript. Sessions incorporate individualized professional coaching, guided peer to peer learning, and facilitated break out groups that allow participants to practice new skill sets.
