We will present an overview of the genesis and development of the Community REsearch Activity Assessment Tool (CREAT) to assess research activity and capacity of community organizations. Results of the pilot assessment of knowledge generation activities of community organizations will be highlighted, and we will discuss the implications for leveraging successful implementation science partnerships within the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative.
