Postdoctoral Fellow Positions in Health Services Research

The Yale School of Public Health, Department of Health Policy and Management, is seeking two postdoctoral fellows for its program in Health Services Research. These positions are open to scholars from any discipline with substantive interests related to either health or healthcare. Applicants should demonstrate an interest and track record in research that is policy relevant.

Postdoctoral fellows will work on their own research under the guidance of faculty and participate in departmental research seminars. Fellows are also encouraged to become involved in the many faculty-directed research projects to develop their skills. More than forty faculty members from the Yale School of Public Health, Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Nursing, and Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences are involved in the program.

Fellows are expected to devote their full effort to further developing their research skills and writing for publication.

The Program provides financial support (stipend and research-related funds) for fellows through a grant provided by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.  U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, and permanent residents are eligible for funding under this training grant.

Individuals with previous research backgrounds acquired during PhD or MD education are eligible to apply for one- or two-year postdoctoral fellowships.  To apply, please submit the following to apply.interfolio.com/55883:

  • a cover letter,
  • CV,
  • research paper, and
  • two reference letters.

In the cover letter, please include the names of two Yale faculty members that might be ideal mentors for you; one should be a member of the faculty of the Yale School of Public Health. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2018 and will continue until successful candidates are identified.
